When purchasing a set, look for an exciting color palette and make sure it comes with a refillable clear water pen… I began with one petal and colored the whole thing with the yellow. They have a flexible brush tip that makes strokes similar to a brush.

It will spread easily on your canvas while still showing a great amount of color. Use a water brush (one is included in the set of 48 arteza real brush pens) filled with tap water to dampen one petal. First add one color then overlap that with another color in the opposite direction.

The water will pull the colour across the page in a natural gradient just like watercolour paints. Using two pens, you can create a new shade by smoothly blending their edges.
